The numerous advantages and modern improvements in technology realize an ever-increasing market share of laminate in the flooring category.

Laminate flooring has always been in the lens of interior design. In addition to being a reliable and ecological alternative to natural parquet, today’s laminated boards are an affordable and effective way to imitate various surfaces such as wood, stone, ceramics. The numerous advantages and modern improvements in technology realize an ever-increasing market share of laminate in the flooring category.

Laminated panels have a multilayer structure based on HDF boards and aesthetic decorative finishes. They are characterized by very good insulation properties, durability over time, high wear resistance and water resistance. An essential factor for this is their thickness, which varies from 8 to 14 mm. The variety of colors and textures provides a wide spectrum for the realization of bold interior concepts in all styles.

Innovations in the production of this type of flooring are rediscovering new horizons for the application of laminate flooring in modern homes. Thanks to new printing technologies, a precise imitation of wood structures and a variety of stone facings is achieved. Special processing methods create a tightly sealed surface that does not retain dirt and is easy to clean. Quality laminate already has waterproof and antistatic properties, and is suitable for laying even in rooms with high humidity.

In terms of fashion textures, trends from the past are back in full force and natural shades in flooring are coming to the fore. The natural oak colors incorporated into the classic Chevron and Herringbone styles are current. Also, laminated parquets are widely demanded, recreating a realistic imitation of concrete, marble and retro vintage tiles, which help to create an attractive and non-standard interior of rooms of different types. A real hit in recent years is the installation of laminated boards as wall coverings in kitchens, bathrooms and hallways.

In terms of color, natural oak wood shades are emerging as a permanent trend. And this has its reasons – the light wood colors of the oak have the ability to neutralize the effect of the lack of sufficient light in the rooms and create a radiation of warmth and coziness. Darker colors are suitable for spacious and well-lit rooms. Laminate floors in shades of gray remain relevant this year as well. The gray color exudes restraint and unpretentiousness, emphasizing the color of the entire furniture.

Among the important trends are laminated slats with mixed lengths, widths and colors. Unlike fixed-size options, here each element “tells” its own story, creating a harmonious concept with the general idea. The differences in size and colors add dynamism to the space, combining equally well with the rest of the interior elements. Also in focus are slats of unusually large dimensions, reaching over 30 cm wide and 100 cm long. They have the property of freeing the space from the crowding of fine outlines, making it look visually more spacious.

When choosing laminate flooring, it is recommended to consider the color of the doors. If you still prefer more contrast and have your own idea for the design, act according to your own taste and you will certainly not go wrong.
