FlooringLaminateHow to choose a quality laminate?

You can very easily check the quality of the assembly (so-called click system) by assembling two or more boards in the shop. With quality laminates, there are no differences in height and joints between the individual boards. Splices should be almost imperceptible, both by observation and by running your hand over them. Poor assembly is a prerequisite for the final effect (peeling) of the coating during long-term use. In addition, moisture also collects in poor-quality assemblies, and this, combined with the poor moisture protection of cheap laminates, helps them swell faster.

Quality laminates have a lower degree of water absorption, because the material (HDF) they are made of is impregnated with high-quality waterproof resins. In the cheap versions, this is successful. It is also important to have a laminated layer on the underside of the board, which further protects the boards from moisture penetration and twisting contained in the base under the laminate.

An important indicator of laminate quality is its wear resistance class, not thickness. The laminate is divided into two main groups – for residential and public buildings. Each of these groups is divided into three subgroups – lightly, normally and intensively loaded indicated.
